Warehouse's flannel shirts are made using a power loom that is only available in a limited number of areas in Japan. The purpose is that by using a force loom, you can finish the fabric without damaging the texture of the uneven yarn. Like denim, the yarn used to weave the fabric of vintage flannel shirts was uneven. If you weave the yarn with a strong tension on a modern loom, it will become a different fabric. The original nature of the thread will be damaged. By weaving with an old-fashioned power loom, you can weave the fabric without damaging the inherent unevenness of the yarn. The flannel that became the fabric is brushed on the back of the fabric, following the manufacturing method of the time. Brushing creates a soft expression on the pattern. In addition, by brushing, the fabric can be bulged and feels unique. In this way, the flannel woven with a power loom has a texture that is created only by reproducing it from the thread itself.
